I am a professional freelance writer with 14 years' experience, primarily in magazine and newspaper features. I have written over 500 paid professional articles, including features in Victorian Homes magazine, The Washington Post, Baltimore Sun and Philadelphia Inquirer, Maryland Life, Chesapeake Life, What's Up Eastern Shore & others.

My favorite writing topics are home (especially historic homes), parenting, Halloween, and day-to-day humor.

I have written a newspaper column, Quite Contrary, for a number of years and I am the author of the book Cape May for All Seasons. I am mother of four children ranging in age from fourteen to two. Our family lives in a spooky-looking 1881 Second Empire Victorian house which undergoes perpetual restoration!
