Margo Dillard

Margo enjoys many interests and pursuits, however the ones that bring her the most enjoyment are those that allow her to meld together several interests--gardening, writing, and wine tasting. She began playing in dirt as a child, enjoyed writing at an early age but waited to enjoy wine until a more respectable age.

Gardening has been both her passion and a livelihood, as well as hobby for more than 30 years. Give her the outdoors, some dirt and the promise of a nice glass of wine and the end of the day and she is happy. Margo’s quest for enjoyable wines has led her to travel, taste, read and write about wines, as well as understanding the garden techniques used in growing grapes.

She is a strong advocate of the expanding status and quality of Virginia wines. Besides her wine and gardening articles she is in the process of getting wine and recipe books published. She can be reached at wordscriber@comcast.net.
