Malene Jorgensen is a Danish-native, who has spent a large part of her life in the province of Ontario, Canada.
Malene completed her BA with honours in English Language and Literature in 2007. Although she enjoyed creative writing, she kept it separate from her academic career, which focused mostly on theory – anything from literary works and criticism, to philosophical debates about abortion and environmental ethics.
She completed her Master’s Degree in Denmark, at the University of Copenhagen in the extraordinary program – Psychology of Language Use. Her Master’s thesis is an examination of online credibility and discusses how one can establish credibility through the use of language, mediation as a practice and individual psychological thought processes.
Malene continues to research and write about language mediation and writing as a practice. She spends much time editing, proof reading and writing freelance work. She hopes to one day publish an extended version of her thesis as a book.
