I have been writing on various topics on the internet since 1999, ranging from Embroidery, Costuming, Body, Mind and Soul, Recipes, Historical Re-Enactment and Career Advice.
I am a Recruitment Consultant and chose that career after 20 years in a bank and realising that, after some disasterous job hunting experiences, I could do it better.
I specialise in Talent/Candidate Management, and the most rewarding part of my job lies in helping people open the door to their chosen career, and then being there with them every step of the way, often helping them to take the next step.
As part of that, I spend a lot of time working on improving their Resumes, Interview Techniques and personal presentation.
I've been a Historical Re-Enactor for over 15 years now, and my main interests in that field is researching and doing Historical Embroidery and also researching the role of women in society.
Being a total geek, I manage to combine my re-enactment love, with my love of writing and have written articles for Suite 101 on Historical Re-Enactment, and am also the Embroidery Editor for BellaOnline.com.
It's only recently that I've started to write on Careers, and I hope that my experience as a Recruiter, and in the Finance Sector, is useful to you.
Personally: I live in Brisbane, Australia, have a wonderful boyfriend at present in the UK, and also write fiction. I'm a long term Science Fiction geek.
