Lynne S. Beach holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Georgia, and has been a registered pharmacist for more than 10 years. As both an intern and a pharmacist, she has a combined practice experience of 15 plus years. Having worked for a national drugstore chain, she is familiar with the myriad of administrative, technical, and clinical duties relevant to the operation of a retail pharmacy. She has been employed at a large, urban hospital for the past seven years. There, she has participated in the training of newly hired nurses and pharmacists. In addition, she has developed and presented clinical seminars for both medical professionals and the lay public, and maintains a broad knowledge base of drug information.

Throughout her career, Dr. Beach has supervised and trained an array of ancillary pharmacy personnel of varying age, culture, and educational background. She served as a graduate teaching assistant at Georgia Southern University, preparing and delivering laboratory lectures in the area of general biology. She wrote and published a Master's thesis and authored grant proposals relevant to that course of study. She penned editorial-style columns for two separate university newspapers and served as co-editor of The Georgia Pharmacist Magazine. She also writes short fiction and recently published non-fiction articles in Statesboro Magazine and The Wesleyan Christian Advocate.

Lynne was awarded the Schering Laboratories Professional Service Award in 1998. In 1999, she was chosen from a pool of applicants to attend a new practitioner workshop sponsored by The Georgia Pharmaceutical Association. Throughout her career, she has received several service excellence awards in both retail and hospital practice.

Dr. Beach lives in Georgia with her husband of thirteen years, and her four-year-old daughter. She enjoys reading, writing, crossword puzzles, and shopping for shoes. She and her family are active members of their church, where Lynne is currently serving on the media-relations board.
