Karen Lovett
Karen Lovett is a certified elementary education teacher that has spent much of the last 14 years helping students either as a parent volunteer or teacher. Coming into education as a career after volunteering and substitute teaching has given her a perspective on teaching that she will forever be thankful for having. Seeing the light come on for a student or knowing that she has helped a student through a particular rough time in their life makes each day worth the effort of obtaining her bachelors degree in elementary education while substituting and volunteering.
Although her days were filled with taking up to eight or nine classes while attending up to three separate colleges, she still made time for family, friends, volunteering and substitute teaching. Her volunteering has taken on a more crafty nature of late, but she still finds time to help students whenever possible.
She and her husband have three children and three grandchildren so their home life is never boring. With that many in the family, there is usually something that is either happening or needing to be done. Crafting and writing are what keep her going during those busy days. Family, home, and education are topics that are often on her writing topic list. Her passion for crafting and helping others follow in very close. When she has the opportunity to find the time to write, she can truly count that as one of the blessed days.
