For over fourteen years I have been the single mother of four children. Two of my offspring have learning disorders and another has battled juvenile depression.

I was a certified nursing assistant for nearly six years before becoming a mom. I have spent most of my life before and since that period learning about the world around me through documentaries, print materials and networking with others. While I have a wide range of interests, I have especially concentrated over the last twenty plus years on learning all I can about child rearing, especially when dealing with special needs.

I've been writing ever since I could put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard and am here to share what I have learned about parenting from my unique brood and from several decades of informal study in regard to human development.
