Lisa Manfield is a Vancouver-based editor, writer and publishing consultant. She has worked in print and online publishing for the past 12 years. Currently the marketing coordinator at <a href="http://www.thetyee.ca/">www.thetyee.ca</a>, she is also a contributing editor with Backbone Magazine. Previously, she was associate editor at CGA Magazine, and prior to that, was editor of REALM Magazine, a Canadian publication about careers and entrepreneurship.
Lisa also does freelancing and consulting through her company, Ahnsu Consulting Group, and works primarily with magazines and non-profit groups to develop content, marketing collateral, courseware and communications materials. Some of her recent clients have included CBC TV, the Knowledge Network, and WorkSafeBC. Lisa also teaches courses on writing for the Web and online publishing in Simon Fraser University's Writing and Publishing Program.
Her volunteer hours are dedicated to Room Magazine, Canada's oldest literary journal by and for women. She has also recently wrapped up six years as vice-president of the BC Association of Magazine Publishers.
