The shortlist for the 2008 Man Booker Prize for Fiction has been announced.
Liz is a lecturer in English at a college in the North West of England, as well as working as an A-level examiner for one of the major exam boards. She graduated from Manchester University with a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature, and also holds an MA in Literature from the Open University for which she produced a dissertation on Thomas Hardy and DH Lawrence. Her hobbies include reading, visiting the theatre, and buying, preparing, eating and thinking about food. Liz has had over a dozen restaurant reviews published in The Manchester Evening News, and is a regular reviewer for wcities.com. She contributes regularly to her local newspaper, and has also written for Writing Magazine and nostalgia magazine Best of British. She has just had her first short story published in Horizon Magazine. |
