Pamela Livingston

Contributing Writer

Pamela worked in finance before devoting her career to the cultural sector. Establishing a consulting practice to expand community relationships for the arts, she has had the privilege of working with outstanding artists, educators, and cultural organizations for the benefit of our communities. Thanks to her work in events and museum exhibits for the California Academy of Sciences, she developed strong project management skills. After completing a fellowship in Community Leadership with Coro Northern California, Pamela completed two degrees in Humanities with focuses in art history and creative writing.

Receiving a National Undergraduate Research award for her thesis "The Egyptian Influence on Nineteenth Century Design in Paris" inspired a master's degree at Dominican University of California. Her master's thesis "Being Venus" on the "it girl" of Renaissance earned Pamela an invitation to the international Graduate Humanities Symposium at Stanford University and is the basis for her first historic fiction novel. Pamela jointly formed a home schooling group teaching history, composition and literature while continuing work on her own artistic endeavors including oil painting and glass art.
