Since leaving England’s shores in the early nineties I have been globetrotting around the world and have lived in Turkey, the Middle East and now, Thailand.

Combined with a passion for travel and my career in education I have been teaching and training English teachers for many years.

Recently I turned my back on the classroom to concentrate on putting pen to paper. I am now a freelance writer, specializing in travel and women’s fashion and am currently studying journalism and feature writing.

I have written for regional newspapers and UK and US print magazines, with subjects ranging as widely as fashion, shoes and accessories, health and beauty, pets, language teaching and travel. I am also a member of the reader panel for Eve magazine.

In my formative years I worked as a manager in fashion retailing and have been a self-confessed fashionista ever since. I have a particular passion for two of the main weaknesses of the fairer sex, shoes and handbags.

Asia is a shopper's paradise, (often being ahead of the west in the high-street fashion stakes) so I spend a lot of my time keeping up-to-date with this season's trends and keeping a watchful eye out for bargains in Thailand’s shops and open air markets.

I relish the chance to share what knowledge and experience I have with Suite 101 readers and the opportunity to continue to grow in so many directions.
