After years of extensive research into the medieval period, Linnea's debut novel, The First Vial, was published in 2005 by Thistledown Press. Excerpts from The First Vial may be read at Fiction Writers Platform. In 2006 The First Vial was nominated for the Ontario Library Assoc. White Pine Young Readers Choice Award. Her novel is on high school reading programs in Ontario and New Brunswick and Linnea fields student questions about her book and medieval history on her website. She has also been a contributor to The Historical Novel Society's magazine, Solander. She is currently researching and writing a second historical novel set in ancient Babylon.
