Lebawit Girma

Lebawit "Lily" Girma is an attorney, freelance writer and photographer based in Washington DC.

Lily has lived and studied on three continents, including Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. Her frequent travels led her to discover her love for writing, fashion and photography. To date, Lily's articles have been published on the Matador Travel Network and Affordable Tours Travel Guide.

Prior to starting a career in the law, Lily worked as a Language Editor and Translator (French and Spanish) at National Geographic Television, in the International Broadcast Division's Translation Department.

On the fashion side, Lily owns and runs a successful online boutique, Lily Lily! Shop, carrying women's apparel and accessories from around the world. The shop was featured several times in Daily Candy as well as The Washingtonian Magazine, NBC's The Today Show and other notable media outlets within its first year.

Finally, Lily has native fluency in French and Amharic, and a strong command of Spanish. She holds a BA from the University of Maryland College Park and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
