Leslie is a New York-based writer, gardener, eater, and editor whose work has appeared in publications such as Garden Guides, Eating Well, the Valley Table, the Herb Companion and Hudson Valley Connoisseur magazines and the Poughkeepsie Journal and Daily Freeman newspapers.

In 2009, she won two first-place awards in the New York State Associated Press Association Writing Contests, for Niche Web Site and for Specialty Publications.
