How a Noisy Family Led to Charges of Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Based in Central Florida, Leslie C. Halpern is an award-winning freelance entertainment writer and author. She has published more than 1,600 articles, reviews, essays, and poems in various print and online publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Variety, Markee Magazine, True Romance, Fitness Magazine, So London Magazine, Small Business Opportunities, and many others. Her book, Reel Romance: The Lovers’ Guide to the 100 Best Date Movies, (Taylor Trade Publishing, 2004) guides readers through a list of romantic movies that appeal to both sexes. Organized by 10 themes (Love in Disguise, Love is a Supernatural Thing, etc.) this book covers classic films through recent releases. According to Publisher's Weekly, "This book contains enough basic information - and even a 'Make-Out Meter,' measured in candles - to aid lovers in their quest for the perfect romantic movies." Her other book, Dreams on Film (McFarland & Company, Inc., 2003), is an in-depth analysis of sleeping and dreaming in more than 125 movies. Dream Time Magazine wrote: "Halpern clearly loves both dreams and movies, and she brings wit, intelligence, and passion to the study of their relationship." Leslie also teaches classes and gives lectures on dream sequences (nightmares and symbols), romance (romantic lessons from the movies), and writing (interviewing without fear, writing reviews for publication, inside freelance writing). |
