Linda Bond - Profile

I am human -- hear me think! I've traveled alot, read alot, and lived alot. Mostly I think alot. My hope is to squeeze as much out of this existence as possible (within moderation, of course). I'm academically taught in some areas, self-taught in most. I am a writer, a be-er, and a do-er.

My interests include: My husband (Martin), my kitty Coalie, my garden (organic/container), books of all kinds, my office plants, science, religion, logic, photography, philosophy, environmental concerns, green living, math, literature, herbs, cooking, crocheting, art (cubism), Jimi Hendrix, fractals, knitting, Bob Dylan, metaphysics, tatting, John Lennon's poetry, computers, Janis Joplin, soy food, medical research, anma/shiatsu (massage), tai chi, blues, funk, Peter Gabriel, botany, wolves, otters, all things living, all things supposedly not living, the TRUTH, and, of course, Martin's compositions (musical and artistic).

In this age of specialization, I prefer to be a synergistic generalist.

By faith, I am a Follower of Christ (inclusive of Sufi-Taoist truths). I am also interested in Shamanism, Celtic faith, Native American faith and many others. If I have a motto, it is: "I be, therefore, I am." I believe the Truth is worth knowing, and truth which is misused becomes a lie.

I was born in 1947 not long after "they" dropped the bomb. I have been attached to truth-seeking ever since. I spent 6 years representing the Energy Office (for Washington state) in the 70's. Twelve years as an active volunteer with Sierra Club ensured I spent some time hopping on one foot and then the other during the government stint. Now, I am often known to stand on soap boxes to talk about the need for folks to wake up and smell the oil fumes. Ah, well, but that's another tale, indeed. Read my views in articles posted here are Suite under Physics Lite (now Physics), Water for Life (now Water), and Perspectives. I also blog at lindabview.blogspot.com if you want to check out my free-form writing...

In-joy!
