Hello-

My name is Laura Block-Stewart and I am a professional writer and editor that, throughout the last 13 years, has been focused on writing about the health and well-being of children and families all over the world. I began my writing career as a freelance writer during college and continued writing while employed as a consultant with a national organization, the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA). Working at CWLA, my responsibilities involved research, consultation, and the writing and editing of reports for national, state, and local organizations.

For the last three years, I have been responsible for providing quality and intriguing articles with a unique style for each issue of Preemie Magazine. I have thoroughly enjoyed interviewing, researching and writing feature articles for parents and professionals of premature infants. In 2006, I was promoted to assistant editor and was responsible for first level edits and revisions of all articles submitted for the publication.

At this time, I am currently working as a freelance writer and editor and as a woman with many interests, I am branching out and writing about a variety of other topics. With a BA in Criminology and an MA in Organizational Management and a variety of interesting hobbies, I am excited to delve into subject matter including health and well-being, mind and body, food and wine, marriage, parenting, etc.

I reside in Southern California and I am married with two children.
