"Freelancing full-time. Will write for food."

Welcome! You'll find my articles in publications such as Health, Reader's Digest, Woman's Day, alive, MSN Health, Esteem, Natural Health, Spirituality & Health, and sometimes More. For a full list of my writing credentials and published articles, visit my website: theAdventurousWriter.com.

I've created and maintain three blogs:

1. Quips & Tips for Achieving Your Goals, where I pair inspirational quotations with goal-based life tips. Every article highlights a book directly related to the topic. This website revolves around the idea that "well-behaved women rarely make history" (thank you, Laurel Thatcher Ulrich!).

2. Quips & Tips for Successful Writers follows the same format: I pair quotations from famous published writers with practical writing advice - and connect a book with every article. On this website, I write about everything from being a guest on a talk radio show to finding article ideas. Quips & Tips for Freelance Writers describes the ins and outs of earning a living as a freelance writer; I hope to help writers pursue their goals and make their dreams come true!

3. Quips & Tips for Couples Coping With Infertility again involves inspirational quotations and a book highlighted in every article. My goal is to help people remember that infertility is a drag, but it doesn't have to make us bitter, angry, or depressed. Infertility is ugly, but it doesn't have to wreck our dreams or crush our spirits!

I've also recently created See Jane Soar, which highlights life lessons from successful women. This blog is based on a book I'm writing - and my goal is to encourage women to follow in the footsteps of amazing women in history (because "well-behaved women rarely make history", says Laurel Thatcher Ulrich).

My degrees are in Education and Psychology from the University of Alberta, in Edmonton (Canada). I lived and taught in Nairobi, Kenya, for three years and have explored much of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Now, I live with my husband on a small island off the coast of British Columbia.

I hope I meet you in cyberspace!
