Thanks for dropping in! I'm a full-time freelance writer and blogger on Bowen Island, in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

You'll find my articles in publications such as Health, Reader's Digest, Woman's Day, alive, MSN Health, Esteem, Natural Health, Spirituality & Health, and sometimes More. For a full list of my published and pending articles, visit The Adventurous Writer.

I created and maintain four websites:

1. Quips & Tips for Achieving Your Goals, where inspirational quotations meet practical life tips, and live happily ever after. This site will help you reach your personal, professional, and financial goals. I've got everything from 10 Tips for First Time Homebuyers to Creative Halloween Costumes.

2. Quips & Tips for Successful Writers follows the same format: quotations from famous published writers and practical writing advice. On this website, I write about everything from developing your writer's voice to reasons book manuscripts are rejected.

3. Quips & Tips for Couples Coping With Infertility again involves quotations and practical tips. Infertility is a drag, but it doesn't have to make us bitter, angry, or depressed. It doesn't have to wreck our dreams or crush our spirits! Popular articles on that quips and tips blog are 6 Facts About Your Period and 5 Tips for Boosting Your Fertility.

4. See Jane Soar highlights life lessons from successful women. This blog is based on a book I'm writing; my goal is to encourage women to follow in the footsteps of amazing women in history. Two popular articles on See Jane Soar are 10 Habits of Highly Successful Women and Getting What You Want Out of Life.

My degrees are in Education and Psychology from the University of Alberta, in Edmonton (Canada). I lived and taught in Nairobi, Kenya, for three years and have explored much of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. I currently live with my husband on a small island off the coast of British Columbia.
