Lainee Hayward

Lainee writes in many genres, including poetry, short fiction, novels and films, as well as editing the works of others. She started stringing together poems ever since she learned to write (really, her mom still has the poems she wrote in Kindergarten). Possessing a very diverse resume, she has dispatched trucks, wrestled Irish Wolfhounds, made eyeglasses, repaired jewellery, and sold “adult products” in the past; only recently coming to the realisation that her love of writing can actually be a job, not just a hobby.

Her background is equally eclectic; she is either a descendant of Sitting Bull, or Leonard Cohen’s cousin, depending on what kind of beverage you buy for her. She lives in Winnipeg, Canada, where one endures the winter just to bask in the summer. The proud mother of four unruly dogs, Lainee drinks too much coffee and enjoys writing about herself in the third person.
