I have been a professional writer, literary consultant, and dance educator for more than twenty years. I began my career in 1982, writing about the art of movement and creative self-expression in children as a means of education. I spent eighteen years writing for magazines and newspapers, and also served as health columnist for a large regional magazine in Buffalo, New York. I share my advice on finding freelance work and the publishing process in my writing workshops. My feature articles, essays and opinion pieces have been published in a variety of magazines and newspapers including Woman's World, The Buffalo News, The Miami Herald, Buffalo Spree, Dog World, Instructor, Scholastic, Writer's Journal, Personal Journaling and many others. Contributions have appeared in Reader's Digest and USA Weekend. I have also accumulated years of experience in public relations.
