A graduate of Rutgers University School of Communication, Information and Library Science, Katherine holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Journalism & Media Studies. In addition to her native English, she is also fluent in French and working on learning German. Outside of academia, Katherine has spent extensive time abroad including having lived in Paris for a short time. She maintains dual American & German citizenship. Currently, Katherine lives in New York and is trying to make it as an arts journalist with her ever-faithful Maggie-cat who has survived eight years of cohabitation.

Outside of art, travel and culture, Katherine has a deep appreciation and fascination for the American Deep South and the long, creative tales of the vampire which she attributes to her sister, Meghan who had to leave this Earth when she was much too young.
