Kay Grigar

Kay Grigar has moved around a lot and wherever she goes she never forgets to look up. Her background as a dancer and choreographer deepens her appreciation for how an architect chooses to use space.

Kay holds a BFA from Simon Fraser University and was an instructor in dance at the Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague, as well as Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton. When she made a career change into writing she began as a reporter for Radio Prague and a freelance writer for the Prague Post. When she moved to the Big Apple she was an intern at the Village Voice Newspaper, as well as New York Public Radio.

Kay's love of architecture stems from the fact that her Grandfather was an architect in former Czechoslovakia. She had the wonderful opportunity to be a translator and English teacher for the Prague City Planning Authority in 2001. Kay is presently based in New York City.
