Newspapers are where I grew up, where I've worked, and where I've always gone for a connection to my community and the world beyond. Now of course, I turn to the Internet. Writing about how newspaper journalism is being transformed by this technology helps me make sense of these chaotic and changing times for the news business.
Other particular areas of interest that I read and write about include environmental impact stories, historical preservation efforts, the history of American women, and journalism history.
