Kent Walker

Baseball and Communications writer.

I have spent more than 20 years in the newspaper industry, working for eight newspapers in five provinces. I have been a reporter, business reporter, editor, business editor and managing editor.

I have also taught journalism at the college level, and directed layout and design at three newspapers and two magazines.

Currently I run a copy-editing, proofreading and design business, Walker Editing & Design. My website is still in the design stages.

For baseball, I played competitively for 20 years, representing my province at the national level. I have also umpired baseball for the last 18 years. I am a certified course conductor and I have umpired and supervised umpires at eight different national tournaments.

I also officiated at the 2002 World Junior Baseball Tournament in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
