I truly believe the old saying, "If you have your health, you have everything."
I have been working in public health for over a decade, and helping people lead healthy, happy lives is my passion. I specialize in public health communications, especially writing for the Web. My areas of interest include alcohol and other drug prevention, health care advocacy, and women and children's health promotion.
I'm also the mother of two young children, love to cook, enjoy keeping fit, and am an avid reader. I can identify with the struggles to find balance we all face on a day-to-day basis.
I have a bachelor's degree in biology from Stonehill College and a master's degree in public health from Boston University. I currently work as a prevention specialist/writer and am also a peer reviewer for CDC journals, books, and conferences focused on disease prevention. I enjoy giving presentations and workshops at national public health conferences, and keeping up-to-date on the latest health and wellness studies.
