Kellen Murphy

A love of sports was instilled in Kellen at a young age growing up 2 hours north of Seattle a short drive from the Canadian border.

He maintains anywhere from a healthy respect for to downright devotion to most sports and leagues, but especially Major League Baseball. He has the unique perspective of having had moderate success at the amateur level without the benefit of great talent.

At various times in his life, Kellen has played basketball, soccer, and most recently rugby for the Colorado School of Mines on a team that was ranked nationally in Division II.

Kellen studied engineering at the Colorado School of Mines and is currently attending journalism classes to pursue an eventual goal of being a professional sports writer.
