Kerrie is a licensed school counselor who works exclusively with adolescents. As a school counselor she is trained in the areas of academic, college/career, and personal/social development. She thoroughly enjoys working with students and parents in all areas of the student's development including college selection, career investigation, study skills, and personal issues. As a member of the American School Counseling Association, the Minnesota School Counseling Association, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling, Kerrie uses the most up to date information and resources and relays the information to students and parents.

Continuing her education and training are important aspects to Kerrie. As a current student in UCLA's prestigious college counseling program, she is continually exposed to the trends and resources in college admissions. Other continuing education and training sessions include gifted and talented education, ADHD support and strategies, play therapy, resiliency, mental health in the schools, adolescent counseling strategies, multiple intelligence, financial aid, career strategies for the workforce, eating disorders, depression, Reality Theory, and several more.

Kerrie's undergraduate education was completed at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She graduated cum laude in English Education with minors in psychology, Spanish and coaching. During this time she studied in Mexico City for a summer term to advanced her skills in the Spanish language and culture. Her graduate program in Professional School Counseling was completed at Minnesota State University, Mankato graduating with a 3.9 GPA.

Currently, Kerrie works full time as a high school counselor in a large suburban high school. She parlays her expertise in several avenues: guest speaker at the University of Minnesota's School Counseling program, college/career program trainer, community continuing education teacher, intern supervisor, Global Scholar tutor/teacher, and independent college consultant.

In her free time she enjoys taking classes, gardening, writing, and traveling.
