Kay Bosworth

I am a professional writer with extensive background as a newspaper reporter, copywriter, copy editor, and proofreader.

I have more than 25 years of experience as a reporter and staff writer for local and regional newspapers, covering municipal government and school district meetings, policy, budgets, and elections. My responsibilities as a reporter included interviews and research.

Most recently I held a temporary position as a proofreader for Pearson/Prentice Hall Literature in Upper Saddle River, NJ.

Prior to that I worked as a copy editor for The Home and Store News, Ramsey, NJ and before that for the Villadom Times in Midland Park, NJ.

Between 1981 and 2006 I worked as a reporter and staff writer for area newspapers including the Ramsey-Mahwah Reporter, Suburban News, The Ridgewood News, Ramsey Reporter, Mahwah News, and The Home and Store News, all in Bergen County, NJ.

Earlier in my career I worked in New York City for Cue Magazine as an editorial assistant; McGraw-Hill Book Company as editor of Business Teacher magazine; JC Penney Company as an advertising, catalog copywriter; and Gussow-Hyman Advertising agency; fashion advertising, as chief copywriter.
