Katie Evans

Katie Evans has been working as a newspaper reporter for the last three years, most recently as the education reporter for a paper in Southern Arizona. During her time as a reporter, she has also been a city hall reporter and a general assignment reporter. She has covered forest fires in North Central Florida, the 50th running of the Daytona 500, a shuttle launch, as well as writing stories on musicians such as Tom Petty, John Waite and Randall Marsh of Mudcrutch. In her short time as a reporter she has won a second place award for General Excellence in Relgion Writing from the Florida Press Club, as well as receiving a first place award for team coverage of a tornado and its aftermath from the Florida Press Club.

Katie received her B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla.
