Kari Patterson is an obsessive writer unable to go through a day without fractically jotting down notes and ideas on napkins, backs of receipts, the palms of her hands, etc. As wife, mommy, and graduate student, Kari juggles her laptop with sippy cups, poopy diapers, and theology textbooks. When she's not doing those things (when is this?), she loves to run, walk, read, write (!), cook, and learn about nutrition and fitness. She is currently pregnant with their second child, and is once again on the mission of figuring how to consume 100 grams of protein each day while keeping morning sickness at bay. On a more serious note, Kari graduated with an Honor's BA in English from Oregon State University, and is one class from her Master's of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, OR. She and her husband Jeff are both interested in working in church ministry and are passionate about loving and serving people. Lifelong Oregonians, Jeff and Kari devour books during the rainy months...all ten of them. She is thrilled to join the Suite101 team and looks forward to getting to know you, the readers and writers who make this place real! |
