Karen Finch

Karen is a freelance writer currently based in Sydney, Australia. Her primary focus is contemporary craft and design and she is represented in local and international industry journals. She is trained in architectural ceramics and mixed media drawing, and is a classical singer. Her writing has developed through academic work in both art and music and she refers to herself as an accidental academic.

Karen has worked in education, producing teaching materials for Opera Australia and the Sydney Jewish Museum, which has opened new areas of research and writing that she is keen to pursue. She has recently contributed two chapters about the music and art in Freemasonry for a new book due to be released in late 2009.
