I am a specialist in the literature of the nineteenth century, in particular, poetry. I have just completed a thesis on the life and work of Mary Elizabeth Coleridge, a poet, essayist and novelist of the period and the great-great niece of Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I spent four years teaching English Undergraduates at the University of Hull in England where I specialised in Victorian Literature and Literary Theory.

I am the author of a new section on Mary Elizabeth Coleridge on Brown University's Victorian Web: www.victorianweb.org/authors/index.html.
