Julie Stroebel is a 2009 graduate of Eureka College in Eureka, IL, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism, with curriculum focus on photography and the Spanish language.

Stroebel individualized her major, creating the journalism curriculum at Eureka College through combining courses in the Political Science, History, Communications, and English departments.

Stroebel served as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, the Eureka College Pegasus, for all four consecutive years of her undergraduate career. She is the first student in the 120 years of Pegasus history to achieve this feat.

Currently, she is working as a staff writer at The Paper in Dwight, IL. The Paper is a weekly newspaper that circulates to 21 communities in Grundy, LaSalle, and Livingston counties.

Stroebel has also written for the Woodford County Journal (Eureka, IL).

She is the three-time winner of the Burrus Dickinson Award in Journalism. She was named to Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities in 2008 and 2009. She also received the academic honors of induction into Alpha Chi National Honor Society and Sigma Tau Delta Honor English Fraternity.
