John Wu is an IT systems architect of a large Unix and Windows based environment for a large government agency. Mr. Wu also does freelance writing for Suite 101 and Demand Media properties such as ehow.com and trails.com. While writing, John covers business, computers, health, finance, outdoor activities, and education. In November 2009, he won a Suite 101 editor's award for his article on cat litter. In the past, Mr. Wu has worked at an Internet marketing dotcom, MSN, Earthlink, JP Morgan Chase Bank, and UCLA. He has over 15 years experience working in information technology and Internet technology. Mr. Wu has worked on everything from Windows 3.1 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. In his spare time, Mr. Wu enjoys running trails during the summer, snowboarding during the winter, and watching football during the fall. One fun fact about John is that he's climbed Half Dome, Mt. Whitney, and ran the New York City marathon with a ten minute mile pace. Mr. Wu holds a B.A. in legal studies from the University of California at Berkeley. He also holds systems engineer certifications from Red Hat and Sun Microsystems. |
