Jodie Martin is Suite101's Feature Writer for Activism.

Jodie is a freelance writer and journalist based Brisbane, Australia. She studied a Bachelor of Communication majoring in Journalism at Griffith University.

Jodie writes about political and social issues. Her articles on Suite101 cover topics such as human rights, international development, the feminization of poverty, children's rights and women and climate change.

Jodie received Editor's Choice Awards for her articles on internet censorship and vegetarian activism.

She also writes book and film reviews for M/C Reviews, a Media and Culture publication, and blogs at Ecofeminist.

Jodie has had her work published in both online and print publications, including Lifescape (UK), The Independent Voice (AU), Bedrock (AU) and Independent Education (AU).
