Joanne LaSpina

Joanne LaSpina holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology. After several years working in the counseling field, Joanne became a stay at home parent caring for her two children.

She is currently the voice behind the Food Allergy Assistant website and blog and has written several articles on the topic of food allergies.

Joanne is enrolled in The Institute for Children’s Literature writing course working on a future best selling novel.

Besides spending a lot of time at the computer writing, Joanne can be found in the kitchen preparing safe and healthy food for her family or volunteering at her childrens' schools.

Joanne enjoys traveling with her family, baking, eating, walking (to balance the love of eating) and reading great books. She has been in a book club for over 10 years and is also in a writers’ critique group. She resides near Philadelphia with her husband and children.
