I'm a freelance writer and editor based in California's Central Valley. Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I entered writing contests in elementary school, served as a reporter for both my high school and college newspapers and even did an internship for my hometown newspaper in Santa Clarita. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and hold a B. S. degree in Journalism with a concentration in News-Editorial. Before embarking on a freelance writing career so I could devote more time to my family, I had the opportunity to put my editorial and public relations skills to work in a variety of industries, including writing and editing for travel publications and an educational multimedia company. For three years, I wrote and designed a monthly newsletter for a high-profile restaurant and nightclub on the world-famous Santa Monica Pier. I was also a senior editor for a corporate communications company, working on publications for Suzuki, Ticketmaster, American Gem Society and Speedo, among others. In addition to creative writing, I especially enjoy writing and designing newsletters, and continue to offer my writing and editorial services on a freelance basis. Currently, I am a Market Advocate for Interactive Buzz, working on new media marketing campaigns for Del Monte and Klondike, among others. My most recent freelance projects include a stint as the preschool activities writer for PreschoolRock.com, and serving as a content review editor for Kidzui, a children’s internet service provider. I am also a regular contributor at eHow.com and pen my own blog, MIssion Possible. Become a Fan and follow me on Facebook. |
