She was a columnist and feature writer for a weekly paper early in her writing career.

Besides experience as an assistant editor for a government newsletter, she wrote for the State of Washington, portions of federal and state budgets, reports, profiles, articles, etc. She was also part of a team that wrote instructions and a manual for rule adoption in the State of Washington. She also represented eight states and Puerto Rico on a federal computer program revamp.

She has been a travel and art managing editor for the Suite and is now the Community Manager for Society and Culture. You will find her hanging out in the forum there, http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/societyandculture , when she's not at her Washington State, Cooking with Grandma or Websites for Kids topics.

After writing, Washington State is Jerri's passion. She lives in Washington with her husband. As a lifetime resident minus a few years she knows pretty much what this state is about. If you ask she'll share what she knows.

Here's an excerpt about how she feels about Washington, her home state:

"When I get up in the morning I look out my Pacific Northwest window at the trees and surrounding countryside and am thankful I live here. I travel around, getting to know folks, places, history, culture, etc. It's the love of my life since childhood. A lot of my memories are rooted here. I especially love nature and the outdoors. I'm in heaven at the ocean or on a mountain.

Life is good."

That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.
