Jeremy Mangum

Jeremy Mangum is a journalist, scientist, musician, and Contributing Writer to AbouTown Press.

He has written for several publications and media outlets including The Modoc County Record, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and The AgriLeader. From 2002 to 2008, Jeremy worked as an archaeologist in the cultural resources management field, studying and protecting historic and prehistoric sites around the United States. He wrote or contributed to dozens of scientific reports distributed to Fortune 500 companies and major government agencies like the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Jeremy is an avid musician, and plays guitar and keyboards in the acclaimed band Eye Nocturne. The group has opened for Flickerstick at Northgate Music Festival in College Station, Texas, and continues to be a major draw at local venues. Jeremy holds a B.S. in Journalism from Texas A&M University.
