Recent Blog PostCraft Supplies to Entertain Kids
A trip to Office Max yesterday yielded a new stash of art supplies for under $15. This resource will keep my children entertained for hours.
Ever since she can remember, Jennifer White has always valued working with children. Her passion for encouraging these little people and her love of education led her to a career as an elementary school teacher. Her early experience focused on teaching in the primary grades where she discovered her ability to work well with children with special behavior needs. Jennifer eventually moved into a position where she counseled parents, teachers, and children who were experiencing academic, behavioral, and/or emotional struggles. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Science from Millersville University. She received a Master's Degree in Education from Penn State University. Jennifer has been promoted to the esteemed position of stay-at-home mom. In order to develop a social network for her family, she helps to spearhead a large playgroup in Metrowest Massachusetts. She serves in an administrative role and also specializes in the children's literacy activities. Additionally, she is an intergral part of Children's Worship where she teaches in the large group setting to kindergarten through fifth grade. Jennifer tends to write about topics that reflect her passions - women and children's interests, nutrition, breastfeeding advocacy, Chrisitian studies, and genealogy. However, she has been known to delve into other topics that strike her fancy as well. She has authored two books. Dads, Teach Your Child About Manners published in 2008. Her second book, a prepartion guidebook for father's on childbirth and parenting, will be available in 2009. Additionally, she has been published in Bay State Parent. In her (somewhat limited) spare time, Jennifer might be found tromping through cemeteries pulling her toddlers along in a Radio Flyer Wagon. She volunteers her services as a cemetery transriptionist and seeks to preserve histories of common everyday people. |
