As a professional astrologer since 1982, I’ve been a seeker of the links between the machinations of heavenly bodies and their applications to human life on earth. My forays into documenting my findings through written articles have appeared in the following publications: Horoscope Guide, Dell Publications, Llewellyn Publications, The Magazine of the Irish Astrological Association, The Journal of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, The Astrologer’s Digest of Thailand, The Magazine of the Federation of Australian Astrologers, the Journal of the National Council of Geocosmic Research, (NCGR) and the NCGR memberletter. My writing skills were finely chiseled as a staff writer for Astrodatabank (www. Astrodatabank.com), where, in 1999, I wrote over 140 biographies for their database. In 2000 I became a Certified Astrologer through NCGR. While serving on NCGR’s National Board as Co-Director of Education, I established the University of Geocosmic studies, (www.geocosmicstudies.com), a distance learning program that teaches how to set up and interpret a horoscope. Moreover, I served as the NCGR Representative for the United Astrology Congress 2002 Education Committee and coordinated two National Astrology Education Conferences. After three years of volunteer service I relinquished my position on the National Board to pursue my lifelong dream of writing a book. In 2008, my dream manifested as Finding Success in the Horoscope, the Slevin System of Horoscope Analysis, was published by Ibis Press. A consulting astrologer for over 25 years, I implement my copyrighted Slevin System in my practice. In addition to writing and teaching online I have taught Astrology in various Adult Schools and lecture on Astrology throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico to rooms of 50 + attendees. I hold a Master’s Degree in Theater Education and taught Drama in schools, camps and YMCAs. As a member of Sweet Adelines, the female barbershop singing group, I have toured the United States as a four-part harmony a capella singer. Working as a Travel Agent in the 90s deepened my love affair with travel. When not writing, lecturing or consulting with a steady stream of clients, I travel to other countries and recharge my batteries while absorbing their culture, their language and, above all, their cuisine. |
