Janice Benthin has been a humour columnist for three weekly newspapers, a radio commentator, a playwright and the researcher/writer/producer for award winning documentary programs including Street Cents, Aboriginal Architecture: Living Architecture, My Doukhobor Cousins and What’s That About? 3. She’s made documentaries for NFB, CBC, PBS, APTN, SCN, NITV and a whole bunch of other letters too. Originally from western Canada, where she developed her love for local history, she also lived in the Arctic for five years working as training director for the Inuit Broadcasting Corporation. In the course of making so many documentaries Janice has travelled the world and had the privilege to discover great places off the beaten path thanks to the generosity of her documentary subjects.
