Jane Kelly is a qualified teacher with over 16 years in the field of education - 12 years as a practising primary teacher (mainstream and special provision), a year with an educational publisher, and currently lecturing in children's learning and development at degree level. She teaches the following modules to Foundation degree students:
- Contemporary issues in education and childcare;
- Supporting learning and development within a holistic framework;
- Personal and professional development;
- Working with families;
- Providing for early years curricula and play-based learning.
Her qualifications include a 2.1 Honours degree (psychology and education) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, specialising in young children's language acquisition in multi-cultural environments.
Wrting credits to date include a children's fiction novel ('Cosmic Connection') published through Pegasus Elliott Mackenzie, and a short story published in the Bridge House 2009 anthology of children's stories.
