Jace has devoted and dedicated the past three years of her life to Internet Safety education, by spear-heading online safety awareness not only in her local elementary school, but entire Region.

In 2006, she was named Regional Office of Education #26 Internet Safety Coordinator, a position created specifically for her. In 2007, the position was expanded to cover two regions.

As Internet Safety Coordinator:

  • She has developed unique online safety curriculum's for 2nd and 3rd grade students
  • Has personally educated over 750 elementary students online safety awareness
  • Has developed and implemented presentations for parents and educators
  • Is Chairperson of a team of community leaders she assembled to brainstorm online safety issues and concerns
  • Created an Internet Safety educational resource blog for parents, teachers and law enforcement, voted Best Educational Blog for 2007
  • She is an webinar instructor for Virtual Educational Connection

For the past six years, Jace has worked for the local school district, working with over 500 children in a computer lab environment every week. She is a member of the Technology Department, assisting faculty, staff and students with their technological needs. She created the Junior High School website and continues today as webmaster.

She has various computer certificates and continues pursing her education; all online of course. Jace is a freelance writer, a newspaper columnist, guest blogger and is the Feature Writer for Suite101's Internet section.

Jace has two children who are both in college.
