Iulia Filip

Born and raised in Romania, Iulia Filip is currently residing in South Carolina, USA, where she is writing her way through life.

She is enrolled in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Queens University, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she is studying fiction, screenwriting and creative nonfiction. While working on her first novel and her first screenplay, Iulia is also experimenting with various other genres - short fiction, playwriting, feature articles, reviews.

She's been working as a translator and interpreter since 2003 and as an office manager, marketing director and legal consultant for Wall Solutions Supply in Ridgeland, South Carolina, since 2005.

Iulia is happy to be part of a talented creative team like Suite 101.
