Dawney Spencer owns Techni-Dexes, a completely outfitted, full-time indexing service. She is also the Coordinator of the Tennessee Regional Group (TRG) of the American Society of Indexers.
She decided to become the editor of Indexing Topic at Suite 101 after she realized she was offering advice about indexing, writing, computing, and business problems for new freelance indexers with alarming frequency.
Dawney resides in the bucolic East Tennessee Valley Region, at the edge of the lush, green Cumberland Plateau. She finds the hardest part of any type of writing (indexes or articles) is not being distracted by the active bird feeder just outside the office window beside her computer.
