As a professional Medical Writer based in Toronto, I work on cutting-edge advances for professionals and consumers alike on issues of topical health interest.

As a technical consultant to the natural products industry, I generated product dossiers on nutraceuticals and cosmetic ingredients for clients such as Parfums Christian Dior (France) among others. In the area of complementary therapies, I was associated editorially with Heritage Healing (a magazine on complementary therapies published from India) as well as publishing in the SCRIP Magazine (UK) on "Herbal Medicines on the Road to Recognition."I have carried out medical writing projects supported by healthcare and pharmaceutical industry including sanofi-aventis (on atherothrombosis), AstraZeneca (drugs for breast cancer), Amgen (products for cancer-related anemia), Pfizer Oncology (products for cancer-associated thrombosis), Wyeth (depression, hormone replacement therapy), Merck-Frosst (hypertension), 3M (dermatology) and so forth through their agencies--Implementing educational and marketing strategies, blending commercial awareness with scientifically balanced writing in conjunction with key opinion leaders (physicians).

In the year 2002, I worked with the Apotex Pharmachem Inc., Brantford (ON, Canada) reporting to the President/ R&D Director/Manager as Research Associate in a technical information specialist role. Working within a team of researchers (that included senior chemists), I developed patent & literature reviews for R&D addressing their vast repertoire of generic drugs.
