I currently reside in Noblesville, Indiana, where I am the mother of two young girls. Although Indiana is my home state, I lived in Dallas, Texas for a few years where I met my husband and graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Mathematics. I hold an elementary Indiana teaching license with an endorsement in Mathematics. Due to various circumstances, I have decided to stay home and engage in freelance writing. I have worked in child care before and have been on both sides of the fence as parent and teacher.
During the latter part of 2006, I was featured as a guest writer for http://daysofourlives.about.com, in which I wrote the recaps for the show "Days of Our Lives." In addition to writing and spending time with my family, I enjoy going to the gym, playing the piano, singing, bowling, traveling, sudoku puzzles, and listening to various music styles. I took piano lessons as a child and am now "brushing up" on my skills again, introducing the beauty of piano to my five-year-old. My other passion is classic rock music, such as the styles of Def Leppard, Styx, REO Speedwagon, and the band Boston. Going to live rock concerts is an absolute thrill for me. Eventually I would love to learn to play the guitar. I used to sing as a child and teenager but I would never try out for American Idol because I'm scared of Simon Cowell.
