I'm an Australian journalist who decided to come to live in Uruguay, South America, less than four years ago. I'm a passionate soccer fan, and follow several leagues around the world, especially those from South America and Europe, as well as all of soccer's major competitions.

I have a huge knowledge of soccer world-wide, and currently write for Sports Illustrated and Goal.com, as well as contributing for several other newspapers and magazines.

At SI I cover the South American game, especially the Argentine league, as well as the continent's international competitions: The Copa America, the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana.

At Goal.com I am the senior editor of the South American section of the site, and also cover Spain's La Liga competition on a daily basis. I also conduct interviews with some of the best soccer players in the world, and especially like to predict the outcome of matches and competitions.

Arriving in South America has allowed me to exploit my profession to the maximum, as I'm living in a continent where people have soccer integrated into their lives. I often travel around the continent to observe key matches, such as Boca Juniors-River Plate, Sao Paulo-Santos...those huge matches that tend to paralyze some of the world's largest cities.

When it comes to soccer I'm like a dictionary. I pretty much have an interest in everything to do with the sport, and am always willing to learn more about it, whether I'm at the stadium for a Copa Libertadores final or at a press conference before a decisive World Cup qualifier...
