Christine Welter is a journalist and a librarian.

Born and raised in the Pfalz (Germany) she moved to the United States when she was 25 years old.

She holds an MA in German and English Literature from the University of Tübingen, Germany and an MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) from San Jose State, California.

She worked at the Library of Congress and the German Historical Institute in Washington D.C.

Her articles have been published in Die Rheinpfalz (German regional daily) and Die Tageszeitung (German nationwide daily).

She has been a member of the Midpeninsula United Nation's Association for many years and contributes to its newsletter.
